The president of the republic, Nana Akufo-Addo, appointed Hon. Alexander Afenyo-Marin, a member of parliament for Effutu in the central region and the Majority leader in Parliament, as the Chairman of the Directors of the Electricity Company of Ghana Limited.
The appointment of Mr Afenyo Markin was announced in a letter signed by the Secretary to the President, Ambassador Nana Asante Bediatuo.
According to the Secretary, the appointment is in accordance with companies Act, 2019 (Act 992) and the regulations of the company.
