2026/2027 CSSPS placement results rescheduled to September 4

The Ministry of Education has rescheduled the release of the 2026/2027 Computerised School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS) results from Monday, August 31 to Friday, September 4, 2026.

The Ministry said the decision follows requests from parents, guardians, students and Heads of Schools for additional time to complete the submission and uploading of students’ data onto the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) and CSSPS platforms.

According to the Ministry, the extension is intended to ensure that all qualified students have sufficient time to complete the necessary processes and have their details captured for placement into Senior High Schools (SHS) and Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions.

The Ministry disclosed that its data showed that approximately 20,000 qualified students had yet to have their school choices uploaded onto the CSSPS platform by their Heads of Schools, parents or guardians.

It explained that extending the deadline would help prevent students whose data submissions remain outstanding from being left out of the placement process.

Parents, guardians, students and Heads of Schools have therefore been urged to take advantage of the extension and submit all outstanding information before the new deadline.

The Ministry reiterated its commitment to ensuring a fair, transparent, efficient and orderly placement process, giving every qualified student an opportunity to secure placement in an SHS or TVET institution.

The 2026/2027 CSSPS placement results are now expected to be released on Friday, September 4, 2026.
